Mark Leader Courses Real Estate Training

Just got my real estate license…will this work?

January 7, 2009

Hi Mark,

I just got my real estate license a couple of months ago and am interested in your Blueprint for Success book, I have heard some great reviews of it, so I am sure its good.  My question however is this, I am a little concerned that this book might be designed more for experienced agents rather than a new girl on the real estate scene like myself, is this the case.

I am trying to hit the ground running, so to speak, so I would like to find something that would cater towards possibly just getting started in the real estate industry, do you have any product recommendations that might suit me better?

I had originally heard about you through the real estate license center and they were talking about the quality of your real estate training courses, though I don’t think that I could afford something like that right now, times are a bit tough especially when starting a new business you know.  So anyways I am open to hearing what you might recommend, or maybe even a combination of items to get me going.

Thanks, Vicky L.

Congratulations, Best of Selling and Happy Holidays.

Nine terrific weeks of learning, growing and results.  We can all be proud of what success we’ve already had and what will come.

This week, Guy Brooks and his “Rock Starts” top the charts with a 1.5 ppp on 14 listings and a listing sold by 10 great agents.  As a note, a few team members were actively working with several ready, willing, and able buyers, results to follow.

The overall program winners and award recipients will be recognized in a separate message.

I enjoyed working with all of you and look forward to when we meet again.

What a great graduation! You made me and Leader’s Choice proud. Be proud of yourselves for being the winners that you are. The final stats are in, and you did an amazing job! However, this is anything but the end. This is the beginning of the rest of your real estate sales career. You are more prepared, educated and articulate than most agents in the business. Why? Because you are Leaders and made it through the Green Berets of real estate training.

A chat with Kathy Levy, Leaders Elite participant

December 9, 2008

A Conversation with Kathy Levy, a Leaders Elite Participant

1.      How long have you been in real estate? Where and with what company?

I’ve been a Realtor almost 30 years. Now I work with Watson Realty Corp. in Amelia Island, Florida and St. Mary’s, Georgia.

2.    What made you decide to take the Leader’s Choice classes, particularly the Leaders Elite program?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have been through a round of radiation and chemotherapy, so I needed something to help me get my career back on track. I first took the Leader’s Choice courses several years ago and continued with coaching after that. Now I am making some changes in my life and my work and so I signed up for the Leaders Elite program to help me get organized. The webinars have been great for reenergizing.

3.     Has your real estate income increased since you started the

Leaders Elite program?

My real estate income has been holding steady, which is really positive when you consider the market and my health issues.

4.    What do you think has been the most important thing you learned through the Leaders Elite program?

The most important lesson has been to maintain consistency. It is so important to get all my commitments on paper and then to follow through with all of them. I love following the weekly schedule and being accountable to myself for keeping up with my commitments. It’s important to be reminded to continue to work with your sphere of influence and still reach out to new people, too.

5.     What has been the most challenging aspect of your career during the past year? How have you resolved it?

My health issues have been the biggest challenge. I think the important lessons I learned through Leader’s Choice is that you need self-discipline and to be accountable to yourself. I was able to still do that while fighting my illness. I’m learning to reorganize my time so I am not working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I am setting a plan for where to go and not wasting as much time on unprofitable business.

6.    Have there been other specific tips from the Leaders Elite webinars or coaching which have helped you? How?

Mostly I’ve learned to look at the way I’ve been doing business to determine what will work for me now. It’s great to have reminders about getting back to basics, to remember to smile and to keep to your name out there all the time. The Leaders Elite program is really helping me get more organized, too.

Ebby Halliday - Session 8 - Dallas, TX - Leader’s Light

December 4, 2008

Dear Leaders:

After this session you may be feeling excited, tongue tied and perhaps a bit fearful that you will not be able to master objection handling as well as you need to. I didn’t always sound as proficient as I do now. What made the difference? What always does… drill, practice and rehearse. This week find a partner and role play till you feel confident and competent. Don’t allow fear to stop you from confronting head on the most common stalls and objections. If you are going to move a prospect from a, “Perhaps,” to a, “Yes,” competency in objection handling is the key.
You have one more week to reach the goal you set at session one. If you’ve achieved it already, BRAVO; if not, it is never too late. Go for it, gang!

Hello Gang,

Great week of improvement, success and results.  Many of you are showing results and great improvement with more to come.  Some are still struggling and should use the motivation and inspiration from the others to fuel their careers.  I am very happy for what you have accomplished for yourselves.  I am looking forward to a great session 9 with our focus on Buyers.  Here’s a thought I love.

John R. Wood - Session 7 - Naples, FL - Leader’s Light

November 21, 2008

Hello Gang,

Excellent week and our best overall production to date.  Guy’s guys plus one, took team honors with a 1.4 avg per agent this week.  This is factoring in 7 listings by 9 agents and 6 price reductions.  We studied Price Reductions a couple of sessions ago and in today’s market, price is king and getting those prices in line will get us to the closing that much quicker.  Great job by all and we also had a relist for 7 months and a 7% commission with a 3K bonus added to boot.  Super, Super and build from these successes.

Of special note is Lynette’s Soaring Eagles, who set 18 appointments with 9 agents and also had an improved agent average for the week.

Now is the season, game on.

Use your time management plan to insure consistent prospecting and oppurtunities.  Never give up or get discouraged, learn from the no’s and failures.  That is what the Leader’s do.

Have a really great and happy Thanksgiving and see you all on December, 1, 2008 Monday, at the fabulous Polaris Center.

Who’s number one.  We are, John R. Wood Realtors.
